Companies with a pioneering spirit
FRIGOLOGO Lebensmittellogistik GmbH is an Austrian family business. Owner Fritz Herzog founded the company in 1991 in Seekirchen am Wallersee/Austria and successfully built it into one of the leading transport companies for temperature-controlled food logistics in Central and Eastern Europe. He was one of the first in Austria to recognize the potential of fresh food logistics as a service for food producers and retailers.
Management-led family business
After 19 years, Fritz Herzog retired from active business in 2010 and handed over sole management to Friedrich Zechmann, a graduate in business administration and experienced freight forwarder. Friedrich Zechmann had previously worked as Head of the National Transport Department at FRIGOLOGO before joining the Executive Board in 2007.
Lukas Herzog, son of the founder and active in the company since 2015, has been part of the management since 2021. Likewise, Gerhard Prossinger, a long-time FRIGOLOGO employee, joined the management board in 2021.
